“Why do you climb?” I’ve been asked numerous times. Mountains are the blood in my veins, the cream in my coffee, the raison in my ĂȘtre so it’s hard to come up with a simple answer. The best response I have for why I go to the high and steep places of the Earth is so I have stories to tell. "The moment my legs begin to move, my thoughts begin to flow" wrote Thoreau and so it is when I journey upward. I hope I bring back something unique from each experience to share with others –mountain people and others. That is my life: go on adventures, return with stories, repeat. These are my thoughts, my tales and my pictures…from the life of a mountain man.
